Stone Sculpture “Jug”
In Kuršėnai Town, at the roundabout near the Stasys Raštikis bridge, there is an impressive sculpture “Jug”, which was presented to the town in 2015 by the folk artist Stanislovas Kovėra. Carved from grey granite stone, the work weighs one and a half tons and is an impressive example of craftsmanship. The artist worked for about a month and a half until he carved a graceful jug with an exquisite polished band and ornaments from a boulder weighing three tons. This object, located in a busy roundabout, perfectly complements the artistic and cultural identity of Kuršėnai.
