King of Potters, folk artist Vydmantas Vertelis, third generation potters‘ representative, familiarizes visitors with the ceramic work process, tools and instruments in his workshop. After this introduction, during educational activities, you will have a chance to try the craft of ceramics yourself: to squeeze real clay, to make various clay items, to create and use tools. While visiting Vertelis‘ Family Ceramics Museum, besides the exposition of ceramic articles, you will have a chance to try throwing and making a pot in the workshop nearby. The master of ceramics will tell a lot about pot throwing, decorating and burning techniques.
