NEW MOBILE APP, INTERESTING AND CONVENIENT GUIDE AROUND ŠIAULIAI REGION

Šiauliai region is rich in diverse tourist attractions, from the famous Hill of Crosses up to the alpaca farms. The region offers educational programs and tourists are welcome to get to know the region on foot and by car. Thus, how to best present it to tourists and to local residents so that to know more about their neighbours? On the initiative of Šiauliai tourism information centre, VISIT SIAULIAI REGION mobile app was developed that comprises the entire region of Šiauliai.

Šiauliai TIC together with its partners Šiauliai district, Joniškis, Kelmė tourism and business information centres, Radviliškis district municipal public library and in cooperation with Akmenė district municipality developed a modern and convenient mobile app featuring tourism resources of Šiauliai region that may be the essential assistant in planning a trip and travelling around Šiauliai region.

Thanks to this app, tourists have an opportunity to interactively use any prepared routes along with audio guides, to familiarize themselves with any object information (descriptions, photo galleries), to find any required tourist-practical information on where to have a meal, to stay overnight, to entertain, etc. Since the region is visited by tourists from all over the world, the information is provided in four languages: Lithuanian, Latvian, English and Russian.
